Overview

Maine Nugs is a peer-to-peer community marketplace where individuals buy, sell, swap, and give away items locally in Maine. Because transactions occur directly between community members, Maine Nugs does not process payments or handle physical goods. However, we are committed to fair and transparent practices for all users.

Peer-to-Peer Transactions

All listings on Maine Nugs represent items offered by individual community members. When you purchase, swap, or accept a free item, your transaction is directly with the other person — not with Maine Nugs.

  • Returns and refunds are arranged directly between the buyer and seller.
  • We encourage all parties to inspect items at the time of pickup or exchange.
  • Sellers should accurately describe item condition in their listings.
  • If an item is significantly not as described, we encourage the seller to accept a return.

Refund Policy

Since Maine Nugs does not process payments, we do not issue refunds directly. However:

  • If you paid through PayPal, Venmo, or another payment service, you may be able to file a dispute through that platform.
  • For free items, no refund is applicable — but if an item was misrepresented, please contact us.
  • For swaps, both parties should agree on the exchange before completing the transaction.

Time Frame & Process

  • If you believe an item was significantly misrepresented, contact the seller within 48 hours of receiving the item.
  • Both parties should attempt to resolve the issue directly and in good faith.
  • If you cannot reach a resolution, contact Maine Nugs support and we will do our best to mediate.
  • Any refund amount and method is to be agreed upon between buyer and seller.

Donations & Support Contributions

Donations made to support Maine Nugs (via PayPal or other channels) are voluntary contributions to help keep the platform running. Donations are non-refundable except in cases of accidental duplicate charges, in which case please contact us within 30 days.

For any physical returns related to Maine Nugs merchandise (when available), items should be mailed to:

For peer-to-peer transaction returns, coordinate directly with the seller for their return address.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with another user that you cannot resolve directly:

  1. First, contact the other party through the platform to try to resolve the issue.
  2. If unresolved, email us with details of the transaction and the issue.
  3. We will review the situation and attempt to mediate in good faith.
  4. Maine Nugs reserves the right to remove listings or suspend accounts that violate our community standards.
